Vocal Miguel Klingenberg Nosotros / BIO Miguel Klingenberg is a lawyer, with a Law degree from the University of Deusto and a degree in Business Administration from ICADE.Until May 2023, he was Executive Director for Legal Affairs and a member of Repsol’s Executive Committee. He joined the company in September 2012 as Deputy Secretary-General. During this period, he coordinated Repsol’s legal strategy to obtain financial compensation for the expropriation by the Argentine government of 51% of YPF, as well as the company’s legal advisory and defence work, defining policies, rules and operating processes to ensure the Group’s activities were carried out within the applicable legal frameworks.He practised as a lawyer at several law firms for more than 30 years, specialising in tax matters. After co-founding the firm Hervada & Klingenberg, he joined Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in 1998. He was a partner and head of the tax department in Spain, and also Managing Partner of the firm’s Spanish offices between 2006 and 2010.Miguel Klingenberg is a trustee of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum Foundation.
