María holds a degree in law from Universidad Carlos III, Madrid. She completed her studies at the same university with a master’s in corporate legal advice. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

María is a specialist in commercial, national and international arbitration and has been an attorney within the General Secretariat of the Spanish Court of Arbitration for more than ten years. She combines her work in the Secretariat of the Court with her academic activity as a lecturer at Universidad CEU San Pablo, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate classes in commercial arbitration.
