Diversity and equality

At the Spanish Court of Arbitration, we constantly strive to implement the most exacting practices in terms of equality. We are committed to gender diversity and equality in arbitration and have signed the international Equal Representation in Arbitration Pledge to improve the profiles and representation of female arbitrators.

Sustainability

Driven by the conviction that we have a duty to mitigate the impact of global climate change, the Spanish Court of Arbitration aspires to be a leader in adapting our practices and protocols to the target of zero net greenhouse gas emissions. We have therefore adhered to the Pledge for Greener Arbitrations, which proposes initiatives including reducing energy use at work, replacing paper with electronic correspondence and holding videoconferences and remote hearings.

Digitalisation

We are moving ahead with digital transformation at the Spanish Court of Arbitration, adjusting our internal practices and arbitration proceedings to today’s digital environment. As part of this digitalisation process, we have partnered with Dispute Resolution Data, LLC to help create a global database pertaining to international commercial arbitration dispositions.

CINDA

In keeping with our commitment to disability inclusion in arbitration, we have signed the CEIA-CINDA Commitment for the Inclusion of Disability in Arbitration, in order to promote and facilitate the inclusion of people with disabilities in arbitration, without discrimination of any kind, and to eliminate all types of physical barriers to facilitate their full inclusion.
