Marta Gil de Biedma is a partner at López-Ibor Abogados. She was previously Head Partner in the Corporate Department at Allen & Overy’s Spanish office, having practised as a lawyer for ten years at CMS Albiñana y Suárez de Lezo.
She has extensive experience in commercial and real estate law. She advises clients on their commercial and real estate transactions, restructurings, international contracting, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances in Spain and abroad, risk capital/private equity transactions, start-ups and insurance. She has participated in over 100 M&A transactions, the majority of which have been cross-border. She has been involved as a lawyer in arbitration proceedings before national and international institutions.
Marta is a member of the managing board of the Spanish Risk Capital Institute (Instituto Español de Capital Riesgo).
She is the author of the chapter covering Spain in the book Corporate Taxation in the EEC, and has written numerous articles that have been published in specialist journals.
